The arrival of autumn marks a special time at Amaido; it’s the time to make the cider we’ll enjoy throughout the coming summer. This year, from October 31st to November 2nd, we reopen our cider press for one of the most authentic rural tourism experiences in Asturias.
Sweet cider, that drink that connects us with our roots, is not only part of our gastronomy but also part of our identity. And there’s no better experience than making it with your own hands, while sharing laughter and knowledge with other lovers of Asturian culture.
Learn the complete process of making Asturian cider.
The magic of cider begins long before the first sip. During this weekend, you’ll learn the entire technique and its steps in a privileged setting:
- Apple Selection: Not all apples are suitable; you’ll learn to distinguish the different varieties, how to choose and wash them.
- Milling: When the apples are crushed to obtain the pulp.
- Pressing: This is the time to use strength and technique to extract the best juice, also known as must.
- Fermentation: The secret that transforms the juice into our cider.
An activity to enjoy with family or friends that you can’t miss.
Ready to Live the Experience?
Asturian cider awaits us to make it together during this All Saints’ Day holiday. This experience is more than a tourist activity; it’s about sharing a piece of our land, which still preserves its traditions, and together we will celebrate it with enthusiasm.
At Amaido, we believe that the best memories are made thanks to the satisfaction of having created something with your own hands.
Reserve your spot and take advantage of Rural Tourism Passes in Asturias.
This is the perfect time to get to know us. La Casona de Amaido is participating in the Rural Tourism Voucher Campaign in Asturias, an initiative that makes discovering authentic places like ours more accessible.
These passes are a great opportunity to enjoy unique experiences at a better price. Why not take advantage of them to combine your visit with the cider-making experience?
